The Hustler Club is a series of bars and chain of go-go clubs owned by Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt. Flynt was discharged from the Navy in where he had served as a radar operator. After this stint in the Navy he worked in manufacturing jobs including one at a General Motors factory in Dayton, Ohio. Because of this, Flynt exponentially increased the bar's sales. By the end of , Flynt was able to buy a second bar, and, the following year, a third. Both were similar in approach and customer base to Hillbilly Haven. Flynt opened a fourth bar named Whatever's Right. He purposely made this bar different from his earlier ventures. He sought to make this bar a "more elegant atmosphere" and geared it more to affluent and upscale male patrons. A dad says he will set up a petition to get the Hustler Club moved if his concern about opening hours is not taken seriously. A concerned dad wants the Hustler Club in Croydon town centre to be relocated and keep its doors closed until later in the evening after finding out it is open from 5pm. He says his family trips to the fast food restaurant are clouded by the club's promoters handing out leaflets and drinks promotions - an action which he argues is "unacceptable" at that time of day in a busy public area with young children walking past. In response the Hustler Club's operations and general manager, Uthania Jackson, who is a mum, told the Advertiser she personally created the new adverts for the club, which show a woman's eye peering through a keyhole, to ensure they do not offend passing children. She added the decision was made to bring forward the opening time from 10pm to 5pm to get "extra business, just like any other place would". Mr Nish said since the World Cup in June, Hustler Club promoters have been handing leaflets outside the venue and advertising a 5pm opening. This encourages youngsters to visit the club and get into alcohol and strip clubs and for school kids to develop interest in strip dances.
