Our art classes for teens create space for kids to set their creativity free. Our teen art classes expose these budding artists to a variety of different mediums and how to use them creatively for self-expression. Students will develop skills in lessons that are customized to their learning level in sculpture, painting, drawing, and mixed media. This is a wonderful chance to create portfolio pieces that can be used for future college applications, or simply as beautiful artwork for the home. The billing above reflects one class per week.

Mixing Up with Mixed Media Ages Instructor: Jeanie Hendryx Artists will explore color, shape, texture and design while creating compositions with a variety of mixed media materials such as, paint, images, ink, gesso and other found materials. Techniques will include collage, mono printing, drawing and painting. This class gives students a wide variety of art making experiences while allowing for the creation of original art. The main focus will be exploring different techniques in urban sketching while covering basics in composition and typography. The goal is to document what you see visually. Demonstrations, handouts, and individual feedback will keep you inspired to keep capturing your world, long after the class is over. If this is always something you've wanted to learn to do, come with no previous experience.
